The North American division of Suzuki announced today that the national Suzuki AllPoints reward program has ended. The online game allowed participants to win prizes through its website, as well as its Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
The contest, which started six month ago, awarded registered participants nearly 250 prizes, including a Sony 3D TV, a Garmin GPS and the grand prize, a 2011 Suzuki Kizashi GTS Sport. The big winner, Mark Rouch from Texas, received his new car yesterday at the Chicago Auto Show.
"Suzuki is happy to have received such a positive response from our fan base. We will continue to look for ways to exceed consumer expectations with the development of new and exciting social media initiatives designed to continue the conversation with our Suzuki online community," said Jeff Holland, assoc. director of social media at Suzuki.
The two other main components of the company’s AllPoints promotional program are the user-generated "Live Large" Video Contest and the Kizashi Ring of Fire online racing game. The video contest encouraged participants to create short videos showing how they "live large." The top videos was then voted online, with the top three rated to be awarded prizes. Prizes included a trip for two to any US city, a $1,000 shopping spree and a Sony PlayStation 3 games console.
Suzuki also launched the Kizashi Ring of Fire racing game, featuring the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi SE and 2011 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS. The gamer with the highest total score at the end of the AllPoints program won a trip to an open-wheel racing school where he will apply his virtual skills to a real-world racing experience.
