A Cybertruck video making the rounds on social media reveals the Cybertruck's best-kept secrets, including its potential range and charging performance. This is the best view yet at the Cybertruck infotainment screen and user interface.
With the Cybertruck delivery event just around the corner, Tesla is still busy driving the Cybertruck in various conditions and making last-minute changes to its setup. Rumor has it that Tesla has already handed Cybertruck test vehicles to select influencers and YouTubers. Although they are most likely bound by non-disclosure agreements, the internet sees no shortage of Cyberruck videos. Some of them are quite revealing, which is sure to raise some eyebrows at the Tesla headquarters.

On Wednesday, one TikToker shared a video revealing some unknown details about the Cybertruck. It was one of those rare videos showing the interior of Tesla's pickup truck, including the user interface. Since the Cybertruck was charging when the video was recorded, we also have some details about its charging performance. Still, the numbers are more puzzling than revealing.

The video starts with a Cybertruck walkaround, followed by the front door opening. The camera lingers on the center screen for a while, revealing critical details about the charging session and the route plans in the navigation system. The cameraman then opens the rear door, showing the seats in an upright position. Finally, the video showcases the powered tonneau cover opening at the touch of a button.

Since we've already seen countless Cybertruck prototypes inside and out, the infotainment's user interface is the most interesting detail from the video. With the Cybertruck charging, the numbers on the screen can serve as the basis for many calculations. Some tried to use them, although mathematics was not always their strength, as it turned out.

Based on the video, the Cybertruck had 55 minutes remaining at 71% state of charge, which might seem a tad slow. Let's not forget that the pickup truck has a big battery, and the charge limit was set at 100% in this case, which is taking longer to charge than just 80%, which is recommended. The Cybertruck was still drawing 77 kW of power at this state of charge, which some say was slightly better than a Model Y LR's charge curve.

Another essential piece of information was deducted from the navigation system. Based on this, the Cybertruck needed 6% battery to complete a 16-mile (26 km) trip. A rough calculation shows that the Cybertruck could have 270 miles of range. Still, this largely depends on how it was driven before the video was shot. It could be much more than this if the Cybertruck towed a trailer or climbed an off-road trail before charging.

The interesting thing about the man who shared the video is that he doesn't appear to have shown any interest in Tesla or other cars in the past. His TikTok channel is populated with videos from the gym. The one attached below is the outlier, which makes me think somebody wanted the video shared without getting involved publicly. Tesla is known for enforcing its rules, and there are known cases when influencers have been denied access to its events after spilling privileged information on social media.
