Another day, another stunning late first-gen Mustang Mach 1 for your viewing pleasure. Just kidding. Examples as cool as this one aren’t that common, so don’t expect to see one literally every day, be it in person or online.
The 1969 model year Mustang was restyled to look more aggressive than any of its previous iterations, featuring an extra 3.8 inches in length and half an inch in width. Those cars were also the first to use quad headlights, and that was also the year in which Ford introduced the Mach 1 variant with its distinctive styling and performance features.

The striping, the hood scoop, cable and pin tiedowns, plus all the other goodies led to this becoming one of the best-selling cars of the year during that period, with over 72,000 units sold through 1969.

What we’re about to show you here is precisely one such car, finished in Raven Black and up for grabs to the highest bidder. Oh, and be sure not to insist with your bid if suddenly you see someone with the last name ‘Wick’ getting in on the action.

Levity aside, this is one serious muscle car. Visually, it stands out thanks to its shaker hood scoop, spoilers, Mach 1 graphics, LED lights, and gray powder-coated 18-inch custom wheels with Nitto NT01 tires (275/35 front, 315/30 rear). The mods are pretty awesome too, like the 1968-style quarter panel scoops and cabin vents, or the Ringbrothers door handles, hood pins and hinges.

Underneath, you’ll find JRi adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs, Detroit Speed power rack-and-pinion steering, custom front suspension system, a Quadra-Link rear suspension, tubular upper and lower control arms, front and rear anti-roll bars, and rear mini tubs. In terms of breaking, there’s a Hydroboost power brake system with six-piston calipers, and there’s also a hydraulic handbrake system with a cool lever.

Interior highlights include bucket seats sourced from a Shelby GT 350, gray center console and door sills, chrome fire extinguisher, power windows, billet switches, aluminum vents, custom door panels, Simpson harnesses, a JL Audio digital receiver with aftermarket speakers, front and rear-facing cameras, a subwoofer, a leather-wrapped Grant steering wheel with a red center stripe, custom digital dashboard, a few auxiliary gauges, plus aluminum pedals.

Now for the pièce de résistance, a custom 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine built by Roush Racing. It packs a Whipple supercharger with an integrated intercooler, custom ECU and ignition system, Ford Racing throttle body and tensioner, Roush valve covers, tubular exhaust headers, dual exhaust system, dual electric cooling fans for the radiator, and more.

The engine is mated to a 4L80E four-speed automatic gearbox, utilizing a Reid racing case and custom bellhousing.

According to the seller, this car is putting down over 1,000 horsepower and over 700 lb-ft of torque. To call this a beast would be an understatement. It’s definitely one of the best custom Mach 1 Mustangs we’ve seen all year.
