Little known fact: The fifth generation Ford F-Series trucks, manufactured for the U.S. market between 1967 and 1973, rode on the exact same platform as the fourth-generation models, so don’t let the updated styling fool you, because these things weren’t as innovative as some would have hoped.
There were a few meaningful changes though, such as the larger cab and additional engine options, which meant increased variety and practicality, something all truck buyers appreciate.

Throughout its lifecycle, the following updates were carried out: reflective hood emblems, factory-installed air conditioning, new grille designs, a new 302 Windsor V8 engine option, and several trim changes, the latter taking place in 1970. As for performance, the best you could do back then was a 390 ci V8, good for as much as 255 horsepower.

Of course, nowadays you can do much better than 255 horsepower. You can do much better than a stock F-100, period.

What we found here is a custom 1969 truck that’s been heavily modified both inside and out, before earning itself a big old 5.0-liter Coyote V8, but more on that in a second.

Visually, the truck immediately stands out because of its flared fenders, dual-tone paint (metallic red / metallic gray), custom bumpers, custom frame, hood stripes, LED headlights, body-color mirrors, custom door handles, and a set of 20-inch wheels borrowed from a 2018 F-150.

Other mods include power steering, traction control, a four-link rear suspension, front sway bar, adjustable coilovers, and power-assisted anti-lock brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.

Moving on to the interior, we’ve got tons of upgrades to discuss. The first thing you’ll notice is the modern-era Ford F-150 dashboard and steering wheel, next to the dual-tone red/black leather bucket seats. The center console features cup holders, while other modern-day amenities include air conditioning, a touchscreen sat-nav system, a back-up camera, and even remote keyless entry. This truck is properly modern – you could daily it with tremendous ease.

Speaking of which, you’ll definitely enjoy driving this F-100 knowing that it’s got a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine under its hood. The power unit comes with a high-rise intake manifold, BBK throttle body, air-intake tube, conical air filter, JBA tubular exhaust headers (for the custom dual exhaust system), plus Ford Racing valve covers for good measure.

However much horsepower it’s making, it all gets sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. If we had to guess, maybe around 400 hp? Sadly, the seller hasn’t made that information public, but we’re fairly certain that this truck is by no means slow.

Seeing as how this truck is getting auctioned off as we “speak”, interested parties should hurry because there are only a couple of hours left to bid. Right now, the lowest you can go is roughly $25,000.
