Supercar Spotting: 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition

Here’s a little blast from the past folks - a 2006 Ford GT, the working man’s supercar, which has received the Limited Edition Heritage makeover. This is a paint scheme that features one of the most memorable looks out of Ford’s racing history.
The GT is painted in Heritage Blue with Epic Orange-striped exterior. This is the paint scheme featured on the old Le Mans-winning cars that proved Dearborn had what it took to win in Europe. Back then, it was the official livery of the JW Automotive/American Gulf Oil-sponsored racing car, but now it’s just a really cool scheme.

Other than that, it’s just a stock Ford GT, built on an aluminum space-frame chassis with super-plastic-formed aluminum body panels and an aluminum-over-carbon engine cover. IT’s got a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 that delivers 550 horsepower and pushes the car to a top speed of 205 mph.

Bit thanks to photographer Nathan Craig, who uploaded this video to his Youtube channel.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
