The current generation Subaru WRX is on its last legs, the perfect time then to have special editions rolling out. For the Australians, that means the WRX RS40 special edition, launched to celebrate the 40th anniversary o Fuji Heavy Industries car brand onto the Australian market.
Under the skin, this is just a normal WRX sedan, powered by a 2.5-liter turbo boxer engine that produces 265 hp and 340 Nm of torque. However, while the car is under-trained, it has been dressed to the 9 in order to impress customers into paying AU$44,490.

Subaru fans will instantly recognize this WRX has the the front and rear spoilers off an STI. It also rolls on golden 17-inch alloys which together with the WR blue paint complete the rally car look.

Inside, the dominant change is the blue Alcantara added to the Recaro seat covers. Only 300 of these cars will be made, and all be distinguished by a number plaque.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
