According to Automotive News, Subaru has big ambitions for next year, as the Japanese automaker expects its annual sales to increase well over 10 percent. According to the data available to us, last year Subaru managed to increase its sales by 22 over 2009 to an all-new record of 262,820 units delivered in America, but that’s not the end of it.
"Sales next year will definitely top this year's and reach about 300,000 units," President Yasuyuki Yoshinaga said in an interview today at the Tokyo Motor Show. "Sales in the U.S. may beat last year's as early as this year."

That translates to an increase of 36,000 units or 13,7 percent or more. This growth is likely to come from the all-new Impreza, which unfortunately will suffer a recall soon. The arrival of the BRZ sports coupe and the XV compact crossover are also going to boost numbers.

For the year to date, the automaker is about even with last year’s figures.
