While Nissan is all over the next Star Wars movie, Lexus took an entirely different approach to customizing a car for the LA Auto Show. The recently updated IS sedan received a theme inspired by Huy Fong Foods' spicy Sriracha sauce.
The promo video below suggests that Lexus mechanics painted and customized the car with input from the sauce maker, but it was actually West Coast Customs doing it. Say what you want about Pimp My Ride being fake, but these guys know how to pull a corporate build.

There are 43 bottles of Sriracha in the trunk of the IS. Why 43? Some say that's how much you need to put sauce on every hot dog in a stadium - it's that spicy. All we know is that the Lexus sedan has a new paintjob.

The color is described as Sriracha sauce out of a bottle with a top clear coat. They also took the green from the top and added it to the grille, the brake calipers and even the exhaust tips at the back. Careful, they might burn you!

Inside, the Sriracha-infused steering wheel comes with a "Hot Handling" warning and require oven mittlens to operate. Other features include buttons that set your butt on fire, a Sriracha setting for the drive mode selector and custom temperature settings.

The seats are mostly cream, but they have colored Sriracha inserts and a Huy Fong Rooster logo embroidered into the headrests.

"The new Lexus IS is so hot, we decided to make it Sriracha hot, with all the custom details every Sriracha fan will appreciate," said Brian Smith, Lexus VP of marketing.

And while BMW has a smart key fob that lets to park the car remotely, the Lexus IS key doubles as a hot sauce dispenser. Because you never known where your appetite might take you.

If you've always wanted to see a grown man in a lab jacked lick the mirror of a car and turn red, you need to check out the promo video and head on down to the photo gallery as well.
