Nissan is currently working to offer a modified version of the GT-R supercar. But the Japanese automaker isn't the only one working as so are our spy photographers, who have caught a GTR test mule during a road drive session.
The car in the images features a modified front fascia, but the only element we can see is the redesigned grille. The rest of the front bumper is covered by camouflage, which keeps us from taking a look at the car’s front air intakes and ducts.
At the rear of the test vehicle, we can see a new bumper that features side air openings and houses what seems to be a sophisticated air diffuser.
However, the true riddle is just about to start: the car you see in the pictures could be the facelifted version of the GTR or the car’s comfort orientated (or let’s say more of a Grand Tourer) M-Spec version, which could offer a modified suspension setup and a softened, but premium, interior.
Judging by the amount of hidden & new content that seems to inspire a certain performance orientation, we could say that we are talking about a revised Godzilla. So, let’s power on...
Various sources indicate that Nissan will pump-up the GTR in order to get an edge on the Porsche 911, as the two cars are the soldiers of a delicious Nurburging war. In addition to the aerodynamic modifications which target multiple areas of the car, the GTR is expected to see its powerplant taken in the 500 hp+ area.
