It is said that a good warrior could fight with his eyes closed and it seems that this is what our spy photographers have recently done during a trip to the Nurburgring.
The guys were having a cup of coffee just next to the track (the one with the brake dust topping - it's their favorite), when they heard a sweet familiar beast. They instantly realized that something powered by Audi's turbocharged five-cylinder 2.5liter engine was heading their way. Thus, the performance version of the Audi Q3 which showed up in a few moments stood no change in front of their cameras.

Rumors about Audi developing a high performance version of the Q3 have been around for quite a while and this test car that was tearing up the Nordschleife confirmed them, with some of its other arguments being the generously-sized driller brake rotors.

The vehicle should come with a detuned version of the 2.5-liter TFSI powerplant that produces 340 hp in the TT-RS, which means that we'll probably get around 300 hp, which will be sent to the road via a seven-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic gearbox and Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system.

As for the badging part of the deal, we expect this to be part of Audi's "S" model offensive, which has just been expanded at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
