The internet can't get enough of the exploits of one Rashed Saleh. They're calling him a bad driver, among other things. But the guy is taking it like a champ and even jokes about deleting his Twitter account.
This story is all about family ties, but it's not one of those heart-warming moments where a 69 Camaro connects two generations. The saying "like father, like son" clearly applied here, as the Internet believes these two fellows share their lack of driving skills. Has the driving chromosome been discovered?
Rashed was on his way to work in a Lexus GS F-Sport when he lost control and almost ended in the ditch (he is almost there). Knowing that dealing with the police would be a pain, he called for Saleh senior to rescue him. But instead of the cavalry, he got another crash. The father's Honda Odyssey minivan also slid and ended in the ditch. So... yeah.
The point is that these tandem crashes earned the family internet stardom, as there have been around 30,000 retweets already in less than a week.
"Sheeeeed," as he likes to call himself, answered many of his critics, saying that "Actually my [family are good drivers], not me though."
While we are a little too hard on a kid who graduated in 2014, the road he crashed on was perfectly flat, smooth and straight. So what if there was a little ice? The Lexus GS is not exactly known for violent oversteer.
Judging from Rashed's account, this isn't his first mishap, as proven by photos of a yellow Chevy Camaro that was totaled last summer. In his post "How's your Monday going? Cuz mine...," he is shown enjoying the company of a police officer.
Let that be a lesson to you loving dads: don't give your kids a brand new car for the first couple of years. Let them crash some beater and learn to drive first. But hey, it's hard to say no to your flesh and blood.
