Skoda Superb Estate UK Pricing Announced

Czech carmaker Skoda announced today the prices for its Superb Estate model in the UK market. The entry level Superb Estate S, equipped with the 1.4 TSI 125 hp engine, starts at £17,715 OTR and offers "a reliable car with huge legroom and a boot big enough to move just about anything," as Skoda says.

The Superb Estate will be available in three different trim levels - S, SE and Elegance. If you decide to get one, you should know that the car comes with a range of six engines. You can opt for three petrol engines: the 1.4 TSI with 125 hp, the 1.8TSI with 160 hp and the 3.6 VR6 with 260 hp.

If you prefer diesel, the Superb Estate comes with the 1.9 TDI PD which produces 105 hp, the 2.0 TDI CR which produces 140 hp and the 2.0 TDI CR which produces 170 hp. An all-wheel-drive transmission is available for the 1.8 TFSI, the 2.0 TDI with 170 bhp and the 3.6 VR6 engines.

The Estate will be £1,050 more expensive than the hatchback for the S trim and £1,200 for SE and Elegance trim levels. Still, you are not wasting your money, as the Estate has additional features, including roof rails (black on the S and chrome on SE and Elegance); a removable LED torch; and load-bay illuminating lights built into the tailgate. SE and Elegance also feature a load partition and tethering system in the boot as standard.

The Skoda Superb Estate will go on sale on February 26, 2010.
