Skoda is already established as one of the better manufacturers in Europe, where its history and tradition are blended very well with the VW Group philosophy, with the resulting cars being even better than their VW counterparts, when it comes to value for money.
However, Europe is slowly sinking to the number two spot, in terms of importance for Skoda, as they are recording increasingly good sales numbers from China. Their best number to date: 72,600 cars sold in China, in the month of July. This represents a 6% increase over 2011. The best selling model was, predictably, the Octavia, which accounted for 32,800 units, followed by the Yeti which sold 6,500 unites (a rise of 23.8% as of 2011), while sales of the Superb and Fabia rose by 6.3% and 19.3% respectively.
In total, so far in the year, the Czech manufacturers has managed to sell a total of 565,600 cars, again representing a in increase over the same period of 2011 - 8.1% to be precise.
