Checking the BMWUSA.com website you’ll easily stumble upon the latest updates regarding the i sub-brand and its only already available car, the i3. Apparently, BMW started a tour around the States aiming to allow as many people as possible to experience the first EV from Bavaria, first hand.
In order to do so, they opened up a section where you can join and request to be slotted somewhere in the schedule to take a drive aboard an i3. The fleet of cars will go around, nationwide, and each dealer will get to have at least one on the premises for one day. That means, everyone will get to take a ride, 30 minutes apart from each other.

I know 30 minute test drives suck but it’s better than nothing, right? Furthermore, various dealerships are already talking about ‘buying incentives’ so you might get some more out of this entire ordeal.

Registering takes just a few minutes and you’ll be on your way to drive the first ever, all-electric car from Bavaria. The i3 uses an electric motor that makes 170 HP and 250 Nm of torque and a 22kWh battery that allows it to cover up to over 100 miles (160 km) on a single charge and reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 7.2 seconds. Prices for the i3 start at $41,350.
