Many of us tend to believe we’re better at some things than we actually are, and the same goes for this short biker who obstinately refuses to see that he’s too short for his big bike.
A hilarious video is making the rounds online, after it was posted by a certain Gary Owen on his social media accounts, Deadline News reports. He and his mate Andy Burke were on their lunch break when they pulled in at a service station near Lytham St. Annes in Lancashire, and were treated to a scene that’s best described as “comedy gold.”

“Call for a brew between jobs and you just know when you’re in for a bit of comedy entertainment. This has made me absolute day,” Gary wrote in the initial caption.

He made sure he got the whole thing on tape, since he knew it would be hilarious. And that’s exactly how it turned out: the short biker is seen preparing to mount the bike, putting his gloves on and adjusting them.

He then moves backwards a bit and tries to put one leg over the bike, and fails. He eventually gets up but, because he’s too short and neither foot is reaching the ground, he can’t kick the bike into a standing position to drive off. This leads to some pretty funny butt wiggles until he eventually gets one foot on the ground, and he manages to leave the parking spot.

Meanwhile, from inside their car, with the classic “I Need a Miracle” blasting, Gary and Andy are nearly convulsing from laughter. Not that you can blame them.

“I just pulled in the services getting a brew on the way to a job,” Gary tells Deadline News of the video that’s going viral after being picked up by drivers forums in the UK. “I couldn’t help it. I knew the minute they walked past my van it was going to be funny.”

That said, while the short biker is funny in his approach to driving a bike that’s clearly too big for him, what he’s doing is dangerous to himself and others, as many commenters are pointing out. So unless he’s looking at a future in comedy, he should look into a more suitable means of transportation.
