Unveiled on the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show back in January, the Shelby Wide Body package for the 2005-2009 Ford Mustang and Shelby models is now available through Shelby Performance Parts.
Already a highly sought-after upgrade kit, the Wide Body package includes the rear quarter panels that add 6 inches of fender to house up to 13 inch rear wheels, as well as the front quarter panels that allow for 10 inch front wheels. The body kit is also available in a rear-only option and the company recommends that each of these versions are assembled in a professional shop.
“The Shelby Wide Body Kit, seen on our candy red Super Snake at the North American International Auto Show, resulted in so many requests from Shelby and Mustang owners, we immediately went to work developing a package to meet the demand,” said Shelby Performance Parts Vice President Jer Gervasi. “Now customers can have a Shelby Wide Body Kit customized for their ride, without shipping it to our Las Vegas facilities.”
Available as we speak at Shelby Performance Parts, the full Wide Body package is priced at $5,999, while the rear-only option can be had for $3,399, not including wheels and tire.
The same packages for 2010-2014 models, already shown on the Shelby 1000 at the 2013 Fabulous Fords show at Knott’s Berry Farm in Southern California last weekend, will be available starting this summer.
