The Shelby Raptor truck was unveiled at this year’s New York Auto Show. It was said to be built in 100 units only, each priced at $17,995 (€13,817) over the $43,630 (€33,502) basic Raptor price.
The American car manufacturer said recently that they will increase the production of the beefed-up truck to 500 unit per year, as they received strong early demands lately. The company assured the customers that each modified Raptor will still be listed in the official Shelby registry as a special edition model, wearing the specific badges and unique platings.
As a reminder, Shelby’s modified Raptor is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine boasting 575 hp to conquer any terrain in its path. Amongst other features that can equip the truck, it can be fitted with Shelby Stinger exhaust, custom leather interior, graphic packages, several rim models, light bars, bumpers and roll bars.
