The famous couple was seen driving away from the hospital after the Colombian singer just gave birth to the their second child Sasha. Since now they form a big family, it’s no wonder they went for a nice, safe luxury SUV instead of the regular sportscars celebrities normally would be seen with.
Yet, as opposed to all these turned-over-night singers, Shakira and Gerard Pique at least have learnt the give-back lesson. The 38-year old singer shared on Friday a new photo of her newborn son, the second child with her 28-year old Spanish soccer star, more than a week after he was born.
Apart from the obvious adorable part, we do appreciate the fact that the pictures were posted to support a great cause. Unlike other posh-celebrities who sell pictures with the newborn just to buy a new Lamborghini or a house, at least this two give some of their fortune back. Shakira’s pictures with both her newborn were uploaded on the website of the UNICEF Baby Shower, a charity initiative that helps raising funds and awareness for children in need. The couple supports this initiative.
Why are we telling you this? First, because we rarely get the occasion to talk about celebrities that care about something else than their own lives. Secondly, because it’s related to where the car is coming from in the first place. You see, Audi is a sponsor of FC Barcelona, the team Pique is playing for. One of the things they do every year is give away their newest cars to the soccer team’s members.
We’re assuming the car is also one of those gifts. In other words, the two don’t even use a car they bought. Sure, that doesn’t mean all the millions they make go to charity, but it could mean they rather care for the simple things, you know things like family and stuff. Just a thought...
