We learned earlier that Toyota has recently opened a new training center in Gifu Prefecture, called the Takimi Service Center. Now, a recently released video from the automaker, which you can watch bellow, shows us some of the features of the 9 billion yen ($90 million) service center.
The 187,000 square meters compound includes a 4-story training facility and a drive-evaluation course that can mimic 13 driving conditions, including cobblestones, pot holes, wavy roads and low-friction roads.
Toyota plans to further train about 2,600 mechanics per year, looking to reach 4,800 at some point. The new facility will help the automaker to further continue after production testing and find eventual problems faster than before, to guarantee customer’s satisfaction and experience.
