Seat IBX Concept First Photos

The most important week for the automotive industry in Europe in this beginning of the year is about to start, with the Geneva Auto Show getting ready to open its doors to a whole range of new, exciting, anticipated and trend-setting models. But even now, in the 12th hour, there are some auto makers that are just revealing what they have prepared for the Swiss show. Seat, one of the smallest brands in Volkswagen's lineup and, as the word goes, the single one in danger to be phased out over the next few years because of its poor performances is trying to capture the mind and hearts of the European customers with the introduction of the IBX concept. Built as a small SUV, the IBX previews a probable such model in the Seat line up, a first for the Spanish if it gets a green light for production. Looking strangely familiar because of its striking resemblance with the other models in its class from the VW group, the IBX however would have to come up with quite an exciting offer if it is to succeed, be it in the performance or price areas. No details surrounding the Seat concept have been released so far, with all the technical aspects expected to be revealed in the first day of the show. Hopefully, this new car will not share the fate of the other Seat concept similar in design presented in 2007 as the Tribu. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
