Prototypes for the Opel Insignia have been spotted before, but this one is special. It’s the Insignia Sport Tourer, and our py photographers caught it undergoing hot weather testing in California’s Death Valley recently.
This car is important for Opel fans, of course, but should be a welcomed sight for Buick fans as well. The fact that this wagon that’s sold only in Europe is in America signals that Buick will get a new mid-size estate car added to the Regal range, namely the Regal Sports Wagon. This car should not come earlier than next year, since the 2013 model year Regal is already available.
