Some Russian drivers are very good at taking risks, and while some crash, many don`t and that`s just the way things are and the way they drive. However, while some may use violence and intimidation to have their way, there are those who enjoy bending the rules, and while their actions may not be completely legal (or at all), at least they don`t threaten the safety of others.
Upholding the law is a very abstract concept in Russian traffic, so at least this driver did think his actions through, prior to doing them. He stops his car on the side of a busy six-laned road, just ahead of a crosswalk, which featured button-triggered lights.
The driver gets out of the car, then runs to the lights, presses the button, in order to stop the rather busy traffic, and drivers along the crosswalk, and onto the other lanes, to go back in the direction he came from.
We at least appreciate that this driver had a careful and planned approach to doing a maneuver, even if it happened to be a highly-illegal one!
