All it Takes is a Small Twitch to Lose Control on Snow

The dangers of driving on snowy roads have been talked about many times before, and while some crashes are quite predictable, others aren’t. The slide this Toyota Corolla does can be added into the latter category, and it shows just how little it takes to lose control.
Watching the video above, you will notice that the while driving normally, the car steps out, at one point - the first slide is very small, yet it completely unbalances the car, which begins to slide out of control. Thankfully, it does not get onto the oncoming lane, and no other vehicles hit it - this driver was lucky, but the slow speed at which he was driving also plays an important part in the save.

This is yet another reminder of just how treacherous snow driving can be, and even in cars equipped with winter tires, traction and grip can vanish in an instant, leaving you at the mercy of the road, and your ESP system (when and if available).

Such an incident would catch out most cars, even ones with all-wheel drive, because neither the driver, nor the electronics could react quickly enough to get it back in line.
