It is amazing how some people are allowed to drive, when they can’t even get the simplest of things right. Looking around and being aware of one’s surroundings at all time is crucial for the safe conclusion of any car journey.
It is more important than knowing how to operate the clutch, in a manual car, it is more important than adjusting your mirrors, it is arguably more important even than wearing the seatbelt (which you should do, at all times, but for the sake of argument it was mentioned here).
