Running Away from the Police in an Off-Roader Isn't Always Such a Bad Idea

Have you ever played GTA V and did something that got the cops on your tail, so you started cursing your luck because it happened while you were driving a slow four-by-four? Well, look no further than this video for inspiration on how to leave the police in the dust even when in an SUV, sometimes quite literally.
So, what do we have here? It looks like your regular Russian countryside with makeshift buildings, green pastures, some drunk men on the side of the road and other men (drunk or not) running away from the police. Nothing worthy of our attention, until we see the vehicles involved in this slow-speed pursuit.

The first car, the one fighting for its occupants' freedom, is a UAZ 469 - the Russian equivalent of a Jeep Wrangler, but with even fewer modifications from the original. The off-roader looks like it's well prepared to go off the beaten track, with the snorkel being the first giveaway, as well as its all-terrain tires.

Hot on its tail is another Russian-made car, a UAZ 452 van affectionately known as the "loaf of bread" (we forgot to mention that the UAZ 469's nickname is the "he-goat"). The van has its lights flashing and is siren wailing, signaling it means business. However, the "he-goat" failed to notice that as it continues its run unabated.

Coming from behind a warehouse of sorts (or it could have been the Town Hall, you can never tell in these places), the two cars are now facing a moderately difficult climb up a grassy - and occasionally rocky - hill. The "he-goat," true to its name, ventures forward seemingly gaining even more speed than it was doing on the road. The "loaf of bread" decides it's better to disengage, fearing the climb would be too much for it.

Several aspects point toward the fact that this is as fake as Pamela Anderson's breasts. First of all, it's the convenient placement of the man recording the clip. Then, there's the ease with which the police car gives up on the chase. But ultimately, it's the fact that the two cars are basically identical underneath sharing both the engine and the four-wheel-drive system, so unless the "he-goat" went through some heavy preparation, then the "loaf of bread" should have been able to follow it without a problem. However, we must admit the clip is much funnier this way, even though a chase up the mountain would have been nice too.
