Customization can be a double-edged sword because people with more money than sense sure like to show off their wealth rather than their discernment. This is where Rolls-Royce comes to the rescue with world-class designers, binding prospective customers to the British automaker’s specifications even though the Ghost Zenith is a special edition.
Following in the footsteps of the Phantom Zenith from 2016, the limited run based on the Ghost will be limited to 50 examples of the breed with the highest levels of singularity. Drawing inspiration from the 200EX from 2009, the Ghost in Zenith flavor comes a commemorative plaque in the cabin melted down from the concept car’s Spirit of Ecstasy.

The door marquetry, however, is the highlight. The three models in the photo gallery feature either wood, piano, or technical fiber, complemented by embroidery with throwbacks to the 1907 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. A starlight headliner in Shooting Star configuration, contrasting leather upholstery, and illuminated door pockets are also featured.

Exterior styling? There’s not much change from the bog-standard Ghost, but the color combinations of the Zenith collection are special enough to our eyes. These include Bohemian Red with Black Diamond, Premiere Silver with Arctic White, and Iguazu Blue with Andalusian White.

As with every other Rolls-Royce – let alone a limited edition such as the Ghost Zenith – these vehicles are hand-built in Goodwood by master craftsmen and craftswomen with utmost attention to detail. Despite its BMW underpinnings, the Ghost is a Rolls-Royce through and through.

“The Ghost Zenith Collection presents an entirely forward-looking study of the unique characteristics that have seen Ghost ascend to the status of the most progressive super-luxury saloon ever conceived,” said chief executive officer Torsten Müller-Ötvös. “This unique collection provides patrons of the marque with a rare opportunity to own a motor car truly evocative of our time.”

If you were wondering, the Ghost is the most successful Rolls-Royce ever thanks to the model’s commercial success. It’s because of this car that the average age of Rolls-Royce customers dropped to 43 years.
