It is quite rare to hear about women which are successful in the auto industry, a field dominated by strong male figures. So, we were quite pleased when we heard that a woman would be heading Renault’s EV division, as Vice President, just under Philippe Klein.
Béatrice Foucher, a 48 year-old Agro Paris Tech graduate, has been with Renault for 23 years and has contributed to such important projects as the Laguna II and the fourth generation Espace, working in the company’s Costomer Research Department, Product Department, before being named Director of the M2S range in 2005 and finally, Product Director in 2007.

We hope that her influence will bring new insight into the brand’s EV program, as a balance of male and female influences on a product is always beneficial, and it leads to a very well-balanced finished product which will appeal to both sexes - men don’t really know what women look for in cars, so a Béatrice’s influence will definitely benefit Renault’s future EV offerings.
