2013 seems to have been a good year for Renault Group as the UK branch has reported a considerable increase in their sales, the number being quite impressive.
It appears that the UK division has managed to establish a record of 55 percent growth in their car sales. According to Ken Ramirez, Renault UK Managing Director “2013 has been the first step on the growth path for the Renault Group in the UK. The stunning designs of New Clio and the all-new Captur crossover have reignited desire for the Renault brand, whilst Dacia – the fastest growing retail brand of the year – has brought unique value-for-money to the UK market.”

The 46,173 Renault-branded cars represented an increase of 13.3% for the year. Some of you might remember that Renault canceled a number of slow-selling cars like the Laguna last year. But their superminis filled the gap with almost double the sales.

So, one can notice that customers have shown a liking to Renault’s new Clio and Captur, the Renault brand increasing its volume be 98,9 percent in the B-segment category. This interest has also been shown towards the company’s vans as well as the Dacia models. Surprisingly, Renault’s Dacia has been the company’s fastest growing retail brand in 2013, outselling other important brands such as Volvo and Mazda. Dacia achieved 17,146 sales in 2013 with a market share of 0.76%

We have to admit that it’s quite an achievement for the UK branch as well as the Renault Group, congratulations being in order. Let’s hope they can keep things up for 2014 as well.
