Renault has entered the crossover market much later than other companies and is determined to recover the lost ground - the company has updated the Koleos range and will be selling the new versions starting from April.

The Koleos will be offered with two equipment levels: Carminat and Exception. Both feature minor styling changes and have received upgraded equipment compared to previous versions.

The Carminat equipment level is based on the Expression one, that it replaces, and brings new features such as a Carminat TomTom satnav, electronic parking brake, electrically operated exterior mirrors, automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, front and rear skid plates finished in aluminum, rear lip spoiler and a dark charcoal interior trim, borrowed from the discontinued Dynamicque equipment level.

The Exception version takes the place of the Privilege equipment level and offers additional equipment including aluminum-finished front and rear skid plates, 18 inch alloy rims, an integrated Carminat TomTom navigation system and electrically adjustable driver’s seat.

The 2010 Koleos can be ordered in one of the seven exterior colors available (six of these come in a metallic finish): Lave Grey, Argent Grey, Mineral Beige, Acier Blue, Perle White, Metallic black and Glacier White - the gloss finish color.

The upgraded Koleos line-up starts at 27,500 euro for the Carminat version of the two wheel drive model, equipped with the 2.0 liter 150 HP diesel unit and reaches 33,300 euro for the Exception four wheel drive version powered by the 175 HP diesel unit. The new vehicles will go on sale in April, but Renault dealers are already taking orders for them.
