Yes, this should have been a more suited concept to come from Chaparral instead of that laser-powered futuristic bobsleigh on wheels, but in fact this is the work of Renault Alpine for the Gran Turismo 6 simulator.
The first images with the Renault Alpine Vision Gran Turismo have been leaked by French site Automoto. Due to the plain background and low resolution, we’re not sure if it’s the digital version or the real concept following to be unveiled towards the end of January, but either way it looks awesome.
As you can imagine, there are no technical details about the concept, but at least these pics offer a glimpse of what the automaker could create if there are no restrictions and no compromises to be made.
The concept draws a bit of inspiration from the Eolab concept and the Renaultsport R.S. 01, looking very sleek and offering only one very low seat. In fact, most of the car’s body looks to be lower than the wheel arches.
GT6 players will probably be able to get this beast on the digital tarmac after the real life concept debuts sometime between January 28th and February 1st at the Festival Automobile International in Paris.
Until then, we’re left with these photos to admire and sob on the fact Alfa Romeo has pulled out from the Vision Gran Turismo project.
