Toyota is busy preparing for the upcoming event of the automotive fall season – the Los Angeles Auto Show is taking place between November 17 and 26. And we already have a pretty good idea about what we expect to see in California.
After last month the Japanese automaker dazed and amazed at the inaugural edition of the Japan Mobility Show – formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show for almost seven decades; earlier in November, the focus moved to the 2023 SEMA Auto Show, where it was primarily concerned about N400 Tacoma's public well-being. No worries about that, especially if they ever put the 421-hp turbo V6 Tacoma X-Runner street/sports truck concept into production.
In fact, they also announced that they did the Tundra swap for a reason – they also prepared a performance kit for the 2024 model year that will enhance the 3.4-liter twin-turbo V35A-FTS V6 mill from 389 to 421 hp and from 437 to 469 hp in case of the i-Force Max hybrid setup. That sounds great for the full-size pickup truck, which needs every bit of oomph it can muster in the face of great Detroit Three adversity.
After all, Stellantis just allowed Ram to announce the 2025 Ram 1500 series with an all-new Hurricane force (420 hp or 540 hp) under the hood, and the 2024 Ford F-150 was recently facelifted to make it even more enticing. Anyway, some people think that Toyota would do well to also take care of the related Sequoia full-size SUV going forward. And when they come from the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, it's safe to say they are going to dream a lot of great things.
For example, the good folks over at the Car Release TV and CarsVision channels on YouTube have unleashed their resident pixel masters to portray the fresh visions of this full-size SUV. The XK80 third-generation Sequoia was launched in January 2022 for the 2023 model year, and it uses only the hybrid setup with 437 horsepower in the fight against the likes of Chevy's Tahoe, Ford's Expedition, GMC's Yukon, Nissan's Armada, or Jeep's Wagoneer. No worries, though, as the CGI experts have given the mighty full-size SUV a quick nip-and-tuck.
As such, according to their unofficial visions, the 2025 Toyota Sequoia will arrive on the market with fresh (digital) attire to make it even more enticing. However, there are two different visions at play here. The virtual artist from CarsVision opted to make the refreshed Sequoia a Lexus LX-inspired Toyota at the front, while the rear gets a streamlined appearance with a minimalist treatment for the LED taillights. Meanwhile, the pixel master from Car Release TV was seemingly inspired by the desire to make it a bit more stylish – and opted for a cleaner grille, new LED DRLs, and subtler LED headlights. So, which is your favorite?
