After the J200 full-size Toyota Land Cruiser was retired from the North American market in 2020, there was obviously an empty space in the lineup where an off-road-focused big SUV should have been. Luckily, the Japanese automaker kicked off the reinvention of the full-size roster as soon as possible, beginning with the arrival of the XK70 third-generation Tundra pickup truck during the summer of 2021.
Built on the body-on-frame TNGA-F platform, just like the J300 Land Cruiser, the all-new Tundra showed the way forward in the downsized, V6-only era, with the 3.4-liter V35A-FTS twin-turbocharged V6 mill and the hybrid i-Force Max version rocking 437 horsepower. It was soon followed by the fourth generation J310 Lexus LX 600 in late 2021 and the third generation XK80 Sequoia full-size SUV in early 2022 as the SUV alternatives.

Interestingly, the latter might be up first for a quick revamp during the 2025 model year after the 2024 Sequoia was mostly a carry-over featuring a higher base price - $60,875, up from $59,865 for the 2023MY. Well, that's according to the rumor mill and their imaginative realm of digital car content creators, so remember to take this with a grain of salt, as nothing is official from Toyota just yet. Anyway, if you are interested in what the parallel universes of vehicular CGI have to offer, the good folks over at the Q Cars channel on YouTube aim to daze and amaze the audience with a potential styling of their vision for the refreshed 2025 Sequoia.

The current model, produced by Toyota at TMMTX - Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas – in San Antonio, TX, returned to a solid rear axle setup like with the original, eschewing the independent suspension from its direct predecessor. It also gave up the V8s and only uses the hybridized 3.4-liter V35A-FTS twin-turbo V6 i-Force Max engine as the standard powertrain across the trim line, complete with 437 hp and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque. This is not expected to change – unlike the looks of the ruggedly handsome full-size SUV.

In a few words, if the unofficial AI-assisted vision by the channel's resident pixel master comes to fruition, the 2025 Toyota Sequoia should become a bit sleeker at the front, equally rugged and 'manly' in profile, and also a lot more stylish at the rear where the redesigned front LED lights would be joined by sleeker taillights mixed with the fashionable full-width LED strip. All in all, this is a subtle revamp as far as the world of CGI experts is concerned, for sure.

However, if you want something more extreme, you can also check out the second video embedded below – the peeps over at FutureAutoVisions didn't hold back with their dream of one day seeing a Toyota Grand Sequoia travel the digital trails. For now, though, all we have is their concept vision. Cool or not?
