Right now, the Japanese automaker is hard at work competing with all the other local carmakers for the red carpet spotlight at the inaugural edition of the Japan Mobility Show – formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show.
If not for the Mazda concept that brings us closer to the perfect sports car coupe than we ever dreamed, Toyota would clearly steal the entire show with its numerous mobility and car concepts. It has quirky stuff like the 'Land Hopper,' which proved to be a three-wheeled mobility prototype instead of a mini Land Cruiser for the compact SUV class, as everyone thought.

It has outrageously cool stuff like the IMV O modular truck/van concept that reminds us of the classic Stout model. It also has the FT-3e crossover EV plus the FT-Se EV sports car that gives us hopes of a great MR2 revival with GR oomph. But then there are also the superstars – like the simply-named EPU. This compact unibody electric pickup truck could strike fear into the heart of any Ford Maverick fan if it ever makes it to the United States as a series production model. Last but not least, there's the Land Cruiser Se – the legendary SUV reinterpreted for the novel EV lifestyle.

You could say that even thinking about all these great Toyota is overwhelming. But wait, there's more – and with a focus on the American market this time. Just recently, the Japanese automaker also started the marketing campaign for the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show (November 17 - 26) with a dark photo showing a mysterious car from the front. Of course, everyone and their mother supposed it was the all-new, ninth-generation XV80 Camry mid-size sedan.

Alas, a new teaser from Toyota USA showed us a glimpse of the rear with the HEV AWD inscription and the letter C adorning the trunk lid. Interestingly, this could go down two routes – either it's the Camry or the 'C' actually stands for the next body style of the Crown flagship, a crossover SUV. The big question – including across the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is simple: are these teasers related or not?

Well, the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube chose to imagine the CGI looks of the teased XV80 Toyota Camry, even if they worry it's a mistake. Fortunately for them, we have a reasonable opinion about their unofficial depiction of the all-new four-door sedan. The mid-size king feels more mature and stylish than before, and the resident pixel master showcased the exterior in many different ritzy colors. Additionally, there's also a quick showcase of the interior plus their old renderings just for comparison purposes.

So, what do you think – will Toyota present both the novel Crown crossover SUV (oddly called Crown Estate in Japan) and the XV80 Camry at the Los Angeles Auto Show or just one of them?
