Toyota was like a hard-working bee this year in its bid to remain the most important automaker in the world. However, it also had an uphill battle across certain regions where it wasn't the top dog.
For example, America still counts General Motors as the leading carmaker in terms of sales after the first six months of the year. It remains to be seen if Toyota can do something about that by the end of 2023, especially considering the tidal wave of recent introductions.

There are too many to list without the danger of boring everyone because it's genuinely an extensive list. However, let us narrow it down to Lexus, the premium division – which welcomed into the fold models like the first-ever TX three-row family-sized crossover SUV (alongside the 2024 Grand Highlander) or the J250-based 2024 GX off-road SUV.

The latter is also twinned with the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser (known as Prado or 250 in specific markets), just like the full-size J300 Land Cruiser has the fourth generation J310 Lexus LX as its counterpart in certain regions where it's not on sale anymore. Speaking of the latter, the mighty Lexus LX 600, which sits at the top of the SUV roster with an MSRP of at least $93k, was also present at the recently concluded 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Over there, Lexus presented the full-size luxury off-road SUV with a kitchen in the back, a paddle board at the top, and a color-shifting wrap all over the head-turning body. The Lexus LX 600 Premium AAP (Associated Accessory Product) Build sure infused some much-needed freshness into the fourth-gen LX, which has been around for the 2022 model year as of late autumn 2021. With that in mind, it is no wonder some folks are thinking about a refresh, right?

Some even take matters into their own hands – or rather, at the tip of their CGI brush when dealing with the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. For example, Dimas Ramadhan, the virtual automotive artist behind the Digimods DESIGN channel on YouTube, has taken up the task of revealing an 'all-new' Lexus LX. That term is relative, and most likely, Toyota won't allow Lexus to bring to life a fifth-generation LX on such short notice.

Instead, let us treat this unofficial design project as a possible preview of things to come when the company decides it's time for the mid-cycle update. According to the vision shared by the pixel master, that facelift might arrive with a design thoroughly inspired by the smaller GX series, at least at the front. In the back, meanwhile, the CGI expert offers two options – a subtly modified rear or a more exotic proposal where the LED taillights become a central part of the styling effort.
