When you’re a rally driver and your co-driver tells you that the upcoming corner “drops outside”, it is pretty clear that you have no business being on the outside. However, the driver in the video simply ignores the co-driver and goes on the outside of the corner.
The result? Well, at first the rally-prepped front-wheel drive Neon simply falls onto its side, however, when the co-driver tries to escape through the right side window, he destabilizes the car and it starts rolling down a very steep hill - we admit it was very scary. Furthermore, the co-driver is no longer wearing the safety harness, but he is held rather inappropriately in place by the driver.
Thankfully, nobody got hurt, but this just goes to show how dangerous a ‘dropping’ road surface is, and it could render your otherwise stable car useless and lying on its side on the side of the road.
