How an Understeer Crash Works

Rally drivers always push things to the limit, with every corner being a new challenge and when we’re talking about narrow B-roads, things can really be interesting.
Let’s take the Mitsubishi Colt from the adjacent video. The vehicle was being driven hard during a rally that recently took place in Poland and the driver reached a what seems a medium-difficulty left hand corner, where a group of spectators waved an shouted in excitement when the compact hatch passed by.

However, all the joy came to an abrupt stop, as the vehicle entered a violent understeer session, with the driver failing to correct this and ending up in the brink fence on the exterior of the bend.

Oh, front-wheel-drive!
