Alfa Romeo’s revival is tied together with their US market arrival. After all, until they have those four cars ready, all they can sell us is a pair of little hatchbach that look like Fiats with body kits.
The 4C is probably the car that has everyone excited. It was shown more than a year ago, and only recently has a road-going prototype been spotted in Italy, indicating just how behind schedule they are. We don’t know if they can afford to use carbon fiber, we don’t know if it really will have 300 hp or just 200, but we’re still hoping for a miracle.
That miracle will reportedly descend upon the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next March in the form of a fully production ready version of the 4C sports coupe. The news comes from Autocar magazine, who say that the model will then go later next year, so ahead of the US debut.
A roadster version of the 4C is already on the drawing board and should be ready by 2014 or 2015 at the latest. Let’s hope the rumors are true!
