Porsche has announced a recall for its sports car line, with a faulty wiring harness potentially leading to a lack of airbag deployment.
The call back affects the 2014 model year 2014 Boxster, Boxster S, Cayman, Cayman S and 911 Carrera (S, Cabriolet, S Cabriolet, 4, 4S, 4 Cabriolet, 4s Cabriolet), with a total of 81 cars being included.
There’s an intermittent plug may can cause the front passenger airbag and knee airbag. In the event of a crash, this could lead to serious injury. Porsche is set to replace the front passenger seats free of charge, with the campaign having already debuted.
For more information on the recall, you can contact Porsche at 1-770-290-3500 (recall number AD04) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153).
We'll remind you that Porsche has also issued a recall for the 2013-2014 Cayenne.
