An unnamed Porsche Prototype has burned while being parked in the garage of a company employee in Ludwigsburg, Germany, with the unfortunate event taking place on Tuesday night.
It seems that the Porsche employee took the car home upon leaving the office and left it in its garage - we have to explain that this was not a Porsche test driver.

Later on, the man saw flames engulfing his garage and called the firefighters, as well as asked his wife to try to help him put out the fire until these arrived. Despite their efforts, the two couldn’t deal with the flames, which seriously affected the prototype, as well as the house by the time the 19 firefighters arrived at the scene.

A Porsche spokesperson quickly reacted, explaining that the fire wasn’t caused by the powertrain of the prototype and adding that the source of the flames could’ve been the testing hardware on the vehicle.

Like we said, the model was not mentioned. The list of models Porsche is testing at the moment includes hybrid developments like the 918 Spyder or the Panamera S E-Hybrid, as well as vehicles with conventional powertrains, such as the Macan or the 911 GT2.
