The Porsche Panamera Turbo S and the Audi RS3 Sportback have more in common that it might appear to a non-car person. After all, these can be labeled as... Volkswagen Group hatchbacks that rely on their turbocharged engines and all-paw hardware to deliver monstrous performance.
And while the two are far from the status of competitors, a recent drag racing event held in Germany saw them being thrown at each other. To be more precise, the Ingolstadt toy and the Zuffenhausen monster engaged in a rolling start drag race, as you'll be able to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

As far as we know, the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo we have here comes in stock form, which means the two-ton behemoth packs no less than 550 ponies.

Nevertheless, we can't say the same thing about the RS3 Sportback, whose 2.5-liter five-cylinder motor has been pushed to 450 ponies (the motor delivers 400 hp in factory trim).

To make things even more interesting, the driver of the hot hatch took off slightly before the aficionado behind the wheel of the Porscha - while the RS3 used its Launch Control feature, it seems like the Aventador S didn't follow the same procedure. And with the battle having taken place on an airfield (this is located in Weeze), the only care of the drivers was to mash the gas pedal.

If you happen to be in a hurry, you'll find the said racing action at the 1:40 point of the video below. Nevertheless, you might also want to check out the rest of the clip, as this is populated by machines like a Lamborghini Aventador S.

The Raging Bull also duked it out with the RS3 Sportback mentioned above. And if such a battle sounds familiar, it's probably because this Lambo had previously fought another RS3 Sportback, as we discussed last month.
