We've said it before and we'll say it again: when it comes to tuner cars, one shouldn't fully trust the output numbers of a machine, at least not until these are verified on the street. And we're here to deliver just such a sprint-check, which involves a Lamborghini Aventador and a Nissan GT-R.
The Godzilla we have here has seen its twin-turbo V6 pushed all the way to 950 hp, which makes for double the output of the original 2007 R35 GT-R.
As for the Sant'Agata Bolognese machine, the supercar's V10 has lost its natural aspiration. The motor has been gifted with a twin-turbo package, one that takes things to 780 hp without too many supporting mods.
The two engaged in a series of rolling start drag races as part of a Russian adventure, as you'll get to see in the clip at the bottom of the page.
Of course, the machines we have here are street warriors, but these also happen to be two of the fiercest drag racing platforms in the world.
While the GT-R has been with us for over a decade now, we can't say the same thing about the Lamborghini Huracan. Nevertheless, with the Raging Bull having borrowed its heart from the Gallardo, the aftermarket developers have had plenty of time to work on the V10 motor.
In fact, both the Nissan and the Lamborghini have been pushed up to 3,500 horsepower - we'll remind you that the Nissan GT-R dyno record fell earlier this month.
As for how such output figures are translated into the real world, we'll remind you that the Nissan GT-R has descended into the six-second 1/4-mile arena, while the Lamborghini Huracan has gone past 250 mph in the half-mile.
P.S.: Those of you who are willing to skip the YouTube details and go straight to the racing action can head over to the 6:30 point of the clip below.
