Porsche Napleton Racing Came in 7th Place on Their ALMS Debut

Porsche Napleton Racing rallied on the Grand Touring Challenge (GTC) class, being lead by David Heinemeier Hansson and Dominik Farnbacher. Porsche Napleton Racing managed to gain a seventh place for the team’s debut race in the American Challenge Le Mans Series (ALMS).

Farnbacher manger to climb to as the 2th position with his No. 97 PNR/37 before Hanson returned to the car for a solid stint in the final run to the finish. This was the first time American Le Mans Challenge race for both PNR and Hansson.

“We had quite the roller-coaster ride. It was definitely fun being out there and a great experience. Given the amount of trouble we’ve had, it’s hard to wish for anything better than getting the car all the way up to second.“Dominik did an absolute phenomenal job driving the car. I picked up a ton just knowing his markers and knowing how deep you could go into the corners. We never have driven the car as hard as it was driven today,” David Hansson.

Dominik Farnbacher added: “Overall, the car, actually, was pretty good. If the suspension problems wouldn’t have occurred, we would have been in a good spot. When David did the last stint, he did a really good job. He was one second behind the pros, and he did a phenomenal job.”

Furthermore Farnbacher believes that the result puts the No. 97 Porsche in an ideal position for ALMS GTS races going forward.
