Porsche has launched the Porsche Design Driver's Selection, which is focused on the motorsport partneships with Martini Racing and Racing Heritage inspired collection.

The time for the move is just right, as 2011 marks the 60th anniversary of Porsche's Le Mans presence, as well as 41 years since Hans Hermann and Richard Attwood scored the first victory for Porsche.

All the items in the new collection come with the special "Porsche Team Salzburg" red and white livery used on the 917K racer which Herrmann and Attwood used for the aforementioned win.

Customers will be able to choose between a wide variety of items, including clothing, accesories, a scale model of the aforementoned race car, as well as beach items.

"Indelibly linked in the minds of many racing enthusiasts, the enduring colours of the Porsche MARTINI RACING Heritage are once again resplendent in the 2011 Porsche Design Drivers’ Selection collection. Offering Polo and Rugby Shirts for men and women, as well as a man’s hooded shirt (£75) and women’s large-logo racer-back vest, alongside some seasonal items to celebrate the summer," a company statement reads.

"Stand out on the beach with a collection of items including the Beach Ball, Beach Chair and large beach towel all in the distinctive Porsche MARTINI Racing livery. Enthusiasts can boost their collection of model cars in 2011 with the release of a 1:43 scale model of the 936/76 ‘Black Widow’ race car, offering a darker twist on the traditional red and blue racing colours."
