A pre-production prototype of the Porsche 918 Spyder was spotted on numerous occasions yesterday by different people on the streets roads surrounding the Nurburgring.
It seems that a total of five cars were brought to a track-day event there, and some automotive journalists like Chris Harris from Drive got to experience the thrills this new Porsche has to offer.
The 918 is powered by a hybrid drivetrain, which uses a 4.6-liter V8 (racing block) with 580 horsepower and two electric motors, one for each axle, producing an extra 280 hp.
Porsche’s own official figures suggest the 918 will do 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330 km/h (210mph).
