Truth be told, the Porsche 911 Turbo S gets less attention than it used to these days and it all has to do with all the Neunelfer derivatives Zuffenahsuen has released after it, as well as with the 991.2 and 992 prototypes out there. Well, the stunt we've brought along for today is guaranteed to bring the rear-engined toy under the spotlights, as we're talking about a drag race involving the supercar.
Mind you, this is not your usual two-car battle. Instead, we're talking about a three-way challenge, one that also involves a Lichtfield Nissan GT-R and a 2018 BMW M5.

Heck, what we said about the Porscha also applies to the Nissan, since Godzilla has been with us for over a decade now.

As for the F90 M5, we've already seen the super-sedan delivering stunning adventures, but one can never enjoy too much hooning. However, it's worth noting this is the standard M5, if we may call the 600 hp anima so (read: not the Competition model).

Between them, these three machines pack 1,820 horses and since they all come in all-paw trim, nobody got left behind at the starting line.

Speaking of which, this is an adventure delivered by autocar, with the editors of the British magazine taking the four-wheeled animals to an airfield, so they had all the space they needed to stretch the mechanical legs of the machines.

Speaking of which, the trio engaged in a half-mile battle, so you'll get the complete take on the matter - sure, the quarter-mile numbers were also recorded, but the longer race allows us to check out what really happens at the front of the pack.

After all, Lichtfield did an awesome job preparing this Nissan GT-R for track attacks. Unlike some of the aftermarket specialist's other offerings, though, this one does pack an absurd output. Based on the GT-R Track Edition, the thing comes with 640 hp, which makes for 60 more than what the Turbo S has to offer.
