Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK vs. Twin-Turbo Dodge Viper Drag Race Ends In a K.O.

If there's one thing we've learned about such oddball-grade races, it's that one should never make assumptions. For instance, you would imagine that such a battle would involve a standing start, so the 500 hp Porscha would have a chance against the boosted V10 animal.

The battle between the 4.0-liter boxer wielder and the boosted 8.0-liter animal took place on an airfield in Sweden, which meant the driver didn;t have to worry about the space.

However, this isn't the case with the sprint battle we have here, which involves the Rennsport Neunelfer and the Heffner-modded Viper going for a rolling take-off.

The PDK tranny of the GT3 RS is notorious for the instant blasts it can deliver, so the Zuffenhasuen hero could at least grab the initial phase of the race.

Well, despite the fact that the two velocity monsters duked it out on two separate occasions, the guy behind the wheel of the Porcha never seemed to know how to use the car. When you think that working his way through the gears had to be the greatest challenge of the Viper driver and the Porsche guy wasted this advantage, things become a bit ironic.

Speaking of shifting issues, it looks like the man inside the Viper missed a shift during the first race - those of you who are result-orientated have no reason to fret, though, since the two do engage in a proper race the second time.
