If you're aiming to live the 911 experience, you might want to look beyond the 992 toy that Porsche just dropped at the Los Angeles Motor Show. And that's because the German automaker also introduced the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport today.
We're talking about a racecar here, with the single-seater being a full Cayenne E-Hybrid more expensive than the street car.

The Clubsport is a massive 150 kilos lighter, while also coming with the kind of downforce that can make the wing of the road model seem normal.

Only 200 units will be built, with Porsche working to homologate the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport for international racing events.

Until the thing lands in the real world in May next year, you can check it out flying on the Monza Circuit in the piece of footage below. Screaming soundtrack (the engine and PDK are the same) and all.

Such is Porsche's dedication to offering a plethora of versions and editions, that the 911 GT2 RS platform can be had in four different platforms

We just want to take the time and remind you that the German carmaker's dedication to offering an uber-rich lineup means the GT2 RS platform can now be had in no less than four flavors.

Those seeking number plates can opt for the standard car, if we might call the 7:47 Nurburgring monster so. However, the Porsche-owned Manthey Racing has tweaked the chassis and the aero of the vehicle, shaving a full seven seconds off that chronograph number. And yes, you can buy the Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR package.

This Clubsport racecar joins an even more exclusive circuit toy, namely the new Porsche 935, which is based on the 2RS. And it's worth noting that even in the uber-crazy Moby Dick tribute form, the Germans saw it fit to maintain the 700 horsepower output of the beast.
