When Porsche introduced the 991.2 generation of the Neunelfer a few years ago, aftermarket aficionados jumped for joy - with the Carrera and Carrera S models having dropped their atmospheric engines in favor of turbocharged 3.0-liter units, the (waste)gate was open for tuners out there and their customers. But how effective is such a tune?
To answer the question above, we've brought along a little drag race (of course). This involves a base Carrera 4 that had receive an ECU massage and a Carrera 4S, with the latter coming in factory stock form.

It's worth mentioning that the tune we're talking about comes from Fabspeed, with this promising the give the flat-six motor a 100 hp boost. This, the machine goes all the way to 470 hp, meaning it promises to deliver a 50 hp premium compared to the stock Carrera S - number fans among you have no reason to fret, as the video delivers all the details you need.

We have to explain that, while Nick Murray, the YouTuber behind this stunt, owns a 991.2 Carrera 4S, he didn't use his car for this adventure. That's because the vlogger's Neunelfer packs a seven-speed manual, while the battle we have here is an all-PDK confrontation.

The two Zuffenhausen machines duked it out on more than one occasion, with their drivers willing to make sure that the conclusion is relevant. And, to make matters easy, the races involved rolling starts.

Even so, the rest of the clip is also worthy of your time. For instance, once the drag racing shenanigans are over, Nick moves on to demonstrating a nifty optional feature of the Neunelfer.

We're talking about adaptive cruise control. Sure, you can get this kind of tech on a Volkswagen compact nowadays, but seeing the tech in action on a Neunelfer is a whole different experience.
