Starting life off as a Mineral White BMW F80 M3, this car is now barely recognisable. It’s not that the Germans didn’t do a good job but since it was bought by tuning company Platte Forme, you know that it couldn’t have stayed stock for long.
The guys wanted to create a track build that would somehow keep the interior usable. Said and done! Teaming up with Maxxis they created a street car with a plethora of bolt-on parts installed on it at their California facility.

Since the S55 3-liter inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine under the bonnet makes ‘only’ 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, they decided to start with the performance. A Burger Motorsport JB4 piggyback was installed and we can now safely say that more than 450 horses are being put down at the wheels. The extra fumes generated are being evacuated via new AR Design catless down pipes.

Then it was time to take a more holistic look at the whole thing. More power means a greater responsibility so the suspension and brakes had to be tuned too.

Ground Control camber caster plates customized by Platte Forme replaced the stock ones along with new sway bar end links and rear heigh adjusters while JRZ Pro 2-way dampers take care of business. The brakes now have Brembo written all over them and measure 355 mm up front.

Aerodynamically, a custom APR front splitter was added along with a swan neck wing that we were talking about earlier. Volk Racing ZE40 wheels complete the package.

Now, even though the car was aiming for a fully functional interior, the front seats were changed with new ones from Sabelt, the GT-130 model and what we’re left with is a car that can seat 4 people and also be taken to track days and outperform stock ones.

So, what do you think? Would you like to own one of these or would it definitely be out of the question due to its overly flashy appearance?
