Supersprint Exhaust for the new M3 and M4 Models Released

Supersprint is one of those seriously underrated companies that needs to be recognized a little more. In a market dominated by names like Eisenmann and Akrapovic it’s hard to make room for your own products but that didn’t keep the Italians from creating a brand new exhaust for the F80 M3 and F82 M4.

Since a lot of people complained about the acoustic part of the new M cars, I thought it might be useful to take a look at what they are offering today. That’s right, a completely new system for the S55 engine is now on the table and you can listen to it in the video below.

The complete package includes catless downpipes and front pipes with 2x100 CPSI metallic cats, a center H-pipe and the rear exhaust has bypass valves. To top it all off, the tailpipes are chromed with 90 mm diameters.

You all know what that means, right? Apart from a better sound, you also get a sharper pedal response along with an slight increase in power and torque. Don’t expect big changes though! Even though Supersprint doesn’t mention exact numbers, more than 10 HP would be a stretch.

Getting past the increase in performance and the price tag, what really matters here is the sound and boy that M4 has a completely new bark with this system... It’s probably one of the loudest we’ve heard so far. The only problem is, we don’t know how the drone is inside or how it would fare with our hearing on a longer trip. Maybe the guys will publish a new video in the meantime to clear things up.
